Getting your file ready
- Send a PDF at the final size if you can. Posters and canvas also work from a high-resolution JPG or PNG.
- Aim for 150 dpi at the final size. A recent phone photo holds up to about 20x30; send the original file, not a screenshot.
- Embed or outline fonts. If you export from PowerPoint, set the slide to the poster size before you start, not after.
- For canvas, add 1.5 inches on every side for the wrap, or ask us to mirror the edges.
In the shop
Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-4100
Pigment-ink photo printer for posters and photo prints.
HP DesignJet
Built for CAD linework and full plan sets.
Both are in the shop, so a poster or plan set never leaves the building between your file and your pickup.
Questions
How fast can I get a poster?
Most poster orders are ready the same day. Special papers, lamination or larger quantities can add a day, and we tell you which before we print.
What is the largest you can print?
Up to 44 inches wide. Common sizes are 18x24, 24x36 and 36x48; anything else is quoted the same business day.
Glossy or matte?
Glossy for photos and bold color. Matte when the piece will hang under bright lights or carries a lot of text, since it has no glare. Both are the same price.
Do you print research and conference posters?
Yes. 36x48 is the usual size and is $89.99 on glossy or matte. Export your PDF at the final size and we check it before it prints.
Do you mount posters on foam board?
We print directly on foam board, Gatorboard and PVC instead, which holds up better than a mounted paper print. Those are ordered through SWFL Yard Signs.
Where do I order blueprints and plan sets?
At SWFL Blueprints, our plan-printing site. Upload the set, see the price in about ten seconds, and pick it up here.
